Aidan Leclaire is a Northern Virginia singer-songwriter whose indie rock and alt-pop music blends emotional honesty, vivid storytelling, infectious hooks, and energetic live performance. Raised at the cultural and musical crossroads of America’s North and South, Leclaire developed an eclectic sound shaped by influences ranging from Arctic Monkeys, Joni Mitchell, and Isaac Brock to John Coltrane and Jackson C. Frank. His songwriting pairs sharp wordplay and introspective lyricism with soulful melodies and modern indie production.

Leclaire began performing at 17 and emerged in the Washington, D.C.-area music scene in 2023, playing throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the District before forming the band that now supports his live performances. Together with David McCallum, Izzy Vega, Colin Henson, and Brandon Breazeale, they have built a growing regional audience across Washington, Richmond, Boston, and New York, selling more than 600 tickets across four local shows, including two sellouts. Their July 2025 debut album, Hail to the Dogs, received praise from Indie Boulevard, which described it as “intelligent, thoughtful, and thoroughly engaging.” The band has since followed it with its sophomore album, Diving, its most recent release, and the next chapter in Leclaire’s evolving sound. While Leclaire writes and produces the material, the band plays an essential role in developing the arrangements and transforming the songs into dynamic live performances that continue to connect with audiences and music tastemakers alike.
